FTM and I am currently 12+1 weeks. Had my first ultrasound at 8 weeks everything was ok and we saw the heartbeat. Had my second apt with my GP and she tried to find the heartbeat with a Doppler but could not hear it and she told me to get an urgent ultrasound. I have to wait until Friday to get an ultrasound and I am freaked out. Anyone been through this and everything was ok at the ultrasound ? I still feel very pregnant, boobs hurt, hungry all the time, vomit if I’m hungry for too long, nausea. Also I have a tilted uterus I don’t know if that could be why it’s hard the find the heartbeat with a Doppler.
UPDATE: thank you everyone for all the positive vibes. I was able to have an ultrasound today and the baby is ok heartbeat is perfect.

I am 13weeks and 4 days now but I had a appointment with my midwife at 13 weeks and we were finally able to hear our baby heart beat. I have a at home doppler too and I still can't find him on mine by myself. It can be where they are hiding, positioned or even if you are a bigger person. I'm 205 pounds.

I can’t believe they couldn’t get you an ultrasound straight away. That being said at my 13+3 appointment before she used the Doppler she said “we’re going to try this but there’s a very likely possibility we won’t find it bc it’s still so little”. So I wouldn’t panic try to stay calm until Friday. Easier said than done I know.

I heard a heartbeat at 11 weeks and then couldn't at 12 weeks. on the ultrasound everything looked great. it's super normal and it's why I think every visit should just come with an automatic ultrasound

My nurse said before using the doppler that it can be hard to find the heartbeat at 12 weeks cause they're so little. When she couldnt find it, they wheeled in a small portable ultrasound and found the heartbeat no problem. Very common at 12 weeks because of how small baby is!

Had my 12 week appointment today and said she had bad luck with the Doppler in week 12 patients all week! I think it’s common you got this!

My midwife tried at 11 weeks and was not able to find HB. She wasn't concerned at all, and although I left a little bummed, I knew that sometimes doppler doesn't pick it up early. I have an at home doppler and tried for the longest without luck. Finally found it last week at 13 weeks🙌🙏 but it did take me forever to find it.
Try to remain calm and positive, praying for you🙏

Happened with my first, couldn’t pick him up on the doppler until 14 weeks. At my 11week appt this time the nurse insisted on trying even though I told her I thought it was too early. She tried for like 5 min, and told me she gives up. I got no follow up US. I don’t got back until 16 weeks… of course it made me worried, but I’m reminding myself baby is just tiny and nestled deep. I’ve no other concerning symptoms to lead me to believe something is wrong. I hope your appt Friday helps ease your anxiety!

The midwife couldn’t find heartbeat with the Doppler for me at 12.4 and I was sent over for an ultrasound and everything was just fine. I’m plus size so I think that makes it more difficult. But sometimes they are so far down in the pelvis it’s just hard to find!
My last pregnancy they really struggled to find it until I was very pregnant. I also had anterior placenta so that made it a little more difficult too.
This is why I’m so against at home Dopplers. Sometimes even trained professionals have a hard time. Imagine the stress of not finding it at home and worrying something is wrong for no reason.
